Mission Statement:

Our in-home music school aims to provide high-quality music education in piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, and voice, fostering a nurturing and inspiring environment for students to develop their musical talents and passion. We prioritize the importance of practice, parental involvement, and maintaining well-functioning instruments at home to ensure the best learning experience for all students.

1. Instrument and Equipment:

1.1 Students must have access to a well-maintained instrument at home appropriate for their chosen instrument and skill level.
1.2 It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to ensure that the instrument is in good working condition and properly tuned.

2. Practice Habits:

2.1 Regular practice is essential for students’ progress and success. Students are encouraged to practice daily and follow the practice recommendations provided by their teachers.
2.2 Parents/guardians are encouraged to support their child’s practice routine and help establish a conducive practice environment.

3. Parental Involvement:

3.1 Parents/guardians are highly encouraged to attend lessons and actively participate in their child’s musical journey.
3.2 Parental involvement includes providing support and encouragement to the student, assisting with practice routines, and attending recitals and performances.

4. Tuition and Payment:

4.1 Tuition fees are to be paid in full on the first day of each month to secure lesson slots for that month.
4.2 Late payments may result in the loss of the student’s regular lesson time.
4.3 Payment can be made via secure online payment methods or any other mode of payment agreed upon by the music school.

5. Cancellation Policy:

5.1 If a teacher cancels a lesson, a makeup lesson will be offered at a mutually agreed-upon time.
5.2 If a student must miss a lesson due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, they must notify the teacher at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time to be eligible for a free makeup lesson.
5.3 In the case of planned absences, such as vacations, the student is encouraged to inform the teacher well in advance to make suitable arrangements.

6. Discontinuing Lessons:

6.1 If a student wishes to discontinue lessons, a written notice must be provided to the teacher at least two weeks before the intended last lesson.
6.2 Refunds will not be provided for lessons already paid for but not taken during the notice period.
6.3 The music school appreciates feedback from departing students and their families to help improve our programs.

7. Code of Conduct:

7.1 Respect and courtesy are expected from all students, parents, and teachers.
7.2 Any inappropriate behavior or conduct that disrupts the learning environment may result in termination of lessons.

By adhering to this policy, we can create a positive and enriching musical experience for all students, nurturing their passion for music and encouraging growth in their chosen instrument.
